Today on Ebay...Cherries

Well I finally manged to tidy up (after a fashion) my fabric stash and whilst sorting through found much to my excitment that I still had enough to make this gorgeous set one more time - oh I am such a sucker for cherries and pink and red is definitely my FAV combination - so this really was a set I HAD to make!
You can see the whole thing here

Newsflash Newsflash!

ooo I am SO excited. You know the Bowznstuff ebooks I was just talking about - my lovely friend Claudia who bought them just YESTERDAY has already made the skirt - she has chosen the BEST fabric combo - can you tell I'm excited!
Cree :)
*Freu Freu Freu*
GLG
Cree
Henrietta loves to dance on her white stage und she LOVES her parasol. I didn't make anything new to show today (though I did sew my little fingers off and have almost finsihed the custom of ice cream set I showed the other day), we didn't have to take any ebay photos so we just played - so nice when you can just stop and enjoy :)

New Bowznstuff Pattern Ebook on You can make this!

ooo its time! I'm so excited that my second ebook - "How to make a Bowznstuff triple ruffle halter dress" is now available on You can make this!
This is one of my most requested summer styles so I'm extra excited that it is now a pattern! Here is Henrietta in the sample and some more pictures of other triple ruffle halters you might remember

Cree :)

I know a little girl who loves Disney outfits!

Remember this gorgeous outfit - honestly one of my all time favorites - I am SUCH a sucker for ruffles!

Well its on way - here it is being packed up LOL - mmm I wonder what that white tank like thing is underneath - I don't remember that being part of the set..do you?

And the good news - Ariel is well on her way - or her skirt is anyway and I think you are all going to LOVE it!!! Sneaky peeks to be posted here soon :)

Farbenmix & Ottobre Combo, Cuddles & Loughie

Well a busy day here today! To start with more cuddles photos! I'll check through and see if there is anything post worthy. Secondly I added a neat little finishing touch to the Zoe/Ottobre combo I made on the weekend. Let me start by saying that Zoe ROCKS the house - excellent raglan tee. Tonight I added a gorgeous star applique set on felt which I found thanks to my lovely German friends here. Danke für den Tipp Claudia :) I also added some little strips of Farbenmix ribbon. The leggings are from Spring Ottobre - they are a 98-104 and are desinged to be capris length. Here is Henrietta in her "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" Jammies.

Also today while we were out photographing Cuddles I took some rather nice shots of Loughie - here's my little man :)

And then to top it all off I am just about finished with my latest Pattern Ebook - this time it is for the triple ruffle halter, so I'll be able to tell you all about that tomorrow.

Help Cuddles!!! (and it rained)

This weekend and until the end of the week we are honoured to have Cuddles - the Kinder Penguin visiting with us. The whole aim of the exercise is that the kids bring cuddles the penguin home and you take photos and document his time with you and then write it all up and make it look pretty and then your entry goes into a folder and gets read out all year and all the kids feel special when its their turn. In order to help you with this task you get last year's Cuddles Book to give you an idea of the kind of things you could do (ie let you know what is expected) I flicked through last year's book with a sense of trepidation which was unfortunately only compounded by the discovery that last year Cuddle's was subject to such experiences as - attending Tennis lessons at the State Tennis Centre, interstate travel and a jaunt on a private jet for heavens sake! And now it looks that my only hope of competing has been dashed - my dad wants to take the camera tomorrow when I had planned to take Cuddles on a photo rich opportunity to the zoo - looks like Cuddles will have to make do with my point and shoot at the zoo - my only chance of even half way putting on a decent show has been whisked away too :(
Well on the upside it rained and rained and rained and rained today and I did manage to snap cuddles in the rain (which is pretty darn unusual around these parts at the moment..do you think that counts?

Farbenmix oh how I love Farbenmix

I stumbled across this fabulous blog today and it reminded my of the rush of excitment the day I stumbled across my first Farbenmix design - I don't think it would be too drastic to say it changed my life! It was like all my lives collided - Germany, German and kids fashion!!!! I love it I love it I love it - from there I discovered and ultimately 'met' the fabulous Nancy Langdon of Studio Tantrum. In a round about way all these collisions and meetings sparked an interest in machine embroidery and I am currently firmly situated right there right in the middle of all those stitched, exploring, experimenting, seeing where it will take me. The result of one of these exlplorations was this set. Today one very lucky customer received 2 of these sets - for sisters - they looked so gorgeous when I packaged them up - a big girl version and a little bubbie one. Nancy so generously 'schenked' me these gorgeous machine embroideries- the gnome ones - designed by the ever talented Jeanette - now I am hopelessly in love with all of Jeanette's embroidery designs and am wondering if buying the entire collection might not be too unreasonable! Here is the gorgeous magical set I created with Jeanette's gnome embroideries - I LOVE it!

oo oo Cree What's the next Disney Princess???

Thank's for all the emails - as promised here it is revealed on my blog...
So the next Bowznstuff Disney Princess is......

Hangin' about in a tree

I ALWAYS wanted a tree house when I was little. Oh how wonderful I imagined it would have been could I have sat hidden behind the leaves, a gentle breeze tickling my cheeks - thinking of all sorts of secret things - giggling with my friends, hidden away from the world. I never got my treehouse but I did find some rather good roof hideaways. When my kids asked if THEY could have a tree house I immediately began formulating plans for a double story, multiroom afair - a bit like the tree house on Huck Fin's tree house in Disneyland. In the meantime though :) we made do with a piece of wood resting in the fork of a tree :)

Bowznstuff Cherry Sundae!

I so LOVE this Michael Miller Cherry Sundae fabric - and oldie but oh such a goodie!!! Couldn't quite decide what to make so..well I thought I'd just go ahead and make a bit of everything! Some Bowznstuff applique jeans, a twirl skirt, applique tee - a bit of a different look for me but I'm sure you'll LOVE it!

Well it was a big weekend for us this weekend - on the party circuit - with no less than THREE parties - 2 at the same time. All for the kids of course - not sure when my last party invite was. Saturday was a BIG day! Henrietta's first fairy party!! Her new kinder friend kindly invited her and oh what fun we had dressing up!

Swan Brooner, Living Dolls Pageant Documentary

Ever since it first screened here I have been SUCH a fan of the pageant documentary Painted Babies starring Asia Mansur and Brooke Breedwell. I even have back up copies just incase! Such is my, some may say morbid fascination with this documentary so frequent my lament that I so wished there were more such documentaries I am still in utter disbelief that it took me this long to actually take a look and see if there were indeed any other such documentaries! I mean for heavens sake I spend every day at my computer - what on earth was stopping me from typing in a few simple search terms. Sooo you can imagine my excitment when I did just that and came up with the pageant documentary Living Dolls, starring Swan Brooner - definitely darker than good ole Painted Babies but ohhhhhhhhhh so utterly excellent to watch but so sad what happened afterwards.... Sources tell me that there is another documentary I'd love called The Competition or maybe just competition - I've been searching, don't you worry but to no avail - arrrgghhh the thrill of the chase NOT! Anyway I've found out lots about Asia, Brooke and Swan in my travels so I'll tell you all about it....soon :)

Disney Disney Disney Princess!!!

Thank you all so much for all of your emails about the Bowznstuff Disney Princess range. I'm back from vacation and have lots of new Disney treats in the pipeline - first up is a certain princess who had an unfortunate fondness for eating poison apples and then a very funky very ruffly Minnie!
Here are some of my previous Bowznstuff Disney Princess creations, just the perfect outfit for your trip the the magical kingdom. And of course you can always check out more here
